Use cases

Where FeastFable shines

The generator is a menu-brainstorming shortcut. Here are the situations where it earns its keep — and the one job it does not do.

Birthday parties

The classic use case: you need a spread for 15–25 people and your brain stalls at "chips and dip." Generate 8–10 ideas with the Crowd-pleaser style, pick a mix of one dip, two finger foods, one hearty main and a dessert, and your menu is done in five minutes. For kids' birthdays, filter Quick and lean into mini sliders, pizza bites and cake pops.

Game nights and watch parties

Sports and board-game nights run on one-handed food. Generate Finger food + Crowd-pleaser ideas — wings, totchos, meatballs, queso — and skip anything that needs a knife. A slow cooker with one hot dip covers the whole evening.

Holiday gatherings

Thanksgiving-style or Christmas parties have a predictable structure: heavy appetizers before the main event. Use the Make-ahead filter so the day before does the work — cheese straws, pimento cheese, mini quiches, lemon bars — and save party day for reheating.

Office and potluck events

Potlucks need food that travels and sits well at room temperature. Generate a list, then assign dishes to volunteers from it. Dips, baked pasta cups, brownie bites and punch all survive a car ride. Send the downloaded .txt list in the group chat so nobody duplicates.

Last-minute hosting

Guests coming in three hours? Filter Quick + Budget, hit generate, and shop the list. Sparkling lemonade, flatbread squares, seven-layer dip and brownie bites are all under 30 minutes of active work. The generator exists for exactly this panic.

What it does not do

FeastFable does not write recipes, calculate portions for your guest count, or guarantee dietary safety. It is the first five minutes of menu planning — the idea spark. The menu guide takes over from there with portion math and timelines.
